Arfeen, thank you, thank you, thank you for opening this “can of opportunity” that was out there in this industry.
When I first met you at the Chennai Hilton for a full day preview in May 2018, I had a string of unanswered question, that plagued a choleric like me.
It was fortunate that I had a One on One meet, with you at the preview lunch break that day, over a cuppa, with my page full of questions.. Your response to those questions was very simple “David why don’t you come to Goa to see how we party?” For an Down under Australian Indian — Goa meant Beach, week long buzz moments…
The start of the journey with the Arfeen Khan Team..
July 2018 Goa Live F2F workshop, was a mindblower- a privilege with about 60 other STF members, locked up for 5 days in a resort from 10 am through to 2 or sometimes 3 am returning from the beach — What a memorable start for A Step Up Transformation Journey.
I came into this industry with 2 plus decades of Training, Coaching & Mentoring experience.. started this journey with no clients in 1998 ( first trip into India) building a portfolio of 50 + Corporate clients ( from the top 500 corporate houses in India ). I suppose that’s nothing much to rave about, but a Good feat of achievement — an embossed black, white & red coloured business card, that I kept handing out wherever I went.
Today Arfeen, three years downstream I am proud to have locked the following under my belt:
1. An Author with a book titled: “I-eXceL Wired for Success” — a Blueprint for Excellence
2. Book number two “Your Why” — Destiny is a matter of Choice not Chance, in the pipeline
3. Keynote Speaker in a number of countries; Malaysia, Hong Kong, India and Australia.
4. Host for a number of events and weekly Channel 10 News media
5. Conducted my own “I-eXceL” open Previews. ( 1st Preview attendance -132 Nos)
6. Over the two years pre- covid era, I had conducted multiple own 3 day workshops titled “I-eXceL” with audience participation ranging in numbers from 18 through to 35.
7. Six months Preview Presenter for Coach to Fortune (CTF) Previews in India ( Chennai, Goa, Bangalore, Hyderbad & Calcutta ), Philippines, South Africa ( Cape Town, Joberg & Durban ) UAE (Dubai, Abu Darbi & Shajhar )
8. During Covid conducted multiple webinars for online programs
9. Released Blogs & articles for magazines and featured in Fox, CBS NBC.
10. Started and scaled up U tube activity
11. Commenced Podcasting
Out of all the above, Arfeen, today I must sadly say I unfortunately do not own an embossed business card. When asked for a business card, I apologise and say, I do not own a business card, instead welcome them to type David Nair in Google search engine to find out my details …
Arfeen, your question to me back in May 2018 — David, if I typed your name in Google what would I see? At that stage Nothing… Today — Hmmm, check it out.. Google is my business card !
Arfeen, truly grateful and appreciate all that you and the team ( Harsh, Akshat, Janavi & Anish ) and ( the privilege of working with Shez in Chennai & South Africa ) — have done in the last three years to crack this journey so far…
